What ColdWatch is

ColdWatch is a temperature-monitoring service. It collects temperature and reporting data from sensors you connect, evaluates it against ranges you configure, and sends you notifications when a temperature alert starts, remains active, or recovers.

Information we collect

• Account and contact information — such as your name, email address, and the notification contacts you add.
• Customer, site, device, and sensor information — the locations, devices, and sensors you register, and the temperature ranges you configure.
• Temperature and reporting telemetry — readings and reporting-health data your sensors send.
• Notification destinations — email addresses and phone numbers you add to receive alerts.
• Notification and delivery records — a history of alerts and delivery attempts so you can review what was sent.
• Technical, security, and logging information — such as request logs and audit records used to operate and secure the service.

How we use information

We use the information above to operate ColdWatch: to evaluate temperature conditions, send the notifications you request, maintain your account and configuration, and keep the service secure and reliable.

Service providers

We rely on service providers to deliver ColdWatch, including hosting and communications providers that transmit email and SMS notifications on our behalf. These providers receive only the information needed to deliver the service.

Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to operate the service, support your account, and meet reasonable operational and security needs. We do not publish a specific retention schedule.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold, including encryption of notification destinations at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You control which notification contacts and destinations receive alerts. For SMS, you can opt out at any time by replying STOP to a message, or by managing your notification settings in ColdWatch.

SMS and mobile information

Mobile information and consent are used only to provide the ColdWatch messaging you request. We do not sell mobile information to third parties for marketing.
