SMS Alert Consent
How ColdWatch SMS alert enrollment works
About ColdWatch SMS alerts
ColdWatch sends operational temperature-monitoring SMS alerts. When a monitored location opens a temperature alert, stays active, or recovers, ColdWatch can notify you by text message.
- SMS enrollment is optional.
- Enrollment happens only inside an authenticated ColdWatch account. There is no way to enroll from this page or any public page.
- Verifying ownership of a phone number does not by itself grant SMS consent.
- You must explicitly opt in to receive SMS alerts.
- The consent checkbox starts unchecked.
- The “Opt in to SMS alerts” action is unavailable until you check that box.
- After you give consent, SMS is separately enabled for the specific site and contact subscriptions you choose.
- Message frequency varies based on real alert conditions.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to opt out at any time.
- Reply HELP for help.
- Your consent is not a condition of purchase.
These are operational monitoring notifications, not marketing messages.
How enrollment works
- You sign in to ColdWatch.
- You open Notifications and manage a contact.
- You verify ownership of a phone number.
- Verification alone does not grant SMS consent.
- You review the SMS disclosure.
- You explicitly check the initially-unchecked consent checkbox.
- You click “Opt in to SMS alerts.”
- You separately enable SMS for the site subscriptions you select.
- You can later revoke consent in the same authenticated interface.
